Lake Tahoe sits on the border between northern California and northern Nevada. Most people know it for it's snowy summits in the winter, but for my family and I, it's one of our favorite places to go in the summer, too. 

The mountain glaciers melt and spill into the lake, keeping it refreshingly cold all summer long. It's one of the largest, deepest, and clearest lakes in the world. It's clarity, alpine backdrop, and stunning tones of cobalt and sapphire make it one of the most breathtaking sites in California. 

I've camped here almost every summer since I was born - a tradition that I hope to continue for many years to come.
